Philosophy of Care
Our Philosophy of Care is to practice and, where possible, exceed the statutory and commercial obligations in line with regulatory standards and guidelines in care homes in Ireland.
We provide our residents with the opportunity to enhance their quality of life in a safe and comfortable environment with support and stimulation to help maximise physical, intellectual, emotional and social capacities.
Our residents are encouraged to be actively involved in all decisions affecting their lives and all care decisions are made on the basis that our residents are capable of making choices about their own lifestyle.
We offer opportunities for residents to review their own situation regularly, along with, where appropriate a friend or adviser or appropriate staff member.
We seek to ensure that residents continue to have unrestricted access to all community support services, including Health, Social Services, Leisure and Education and facilitate such access wherever possible.
We respect the privacy of our residents and encourage them to enjoy this privacy as needed, including, making choices about their private space and personal belongings.
We try to ensure that the needs and wishes of all our residents are identified and met wherever possible bearing in mind ethnic, religious and cultural factors.
Our staff adhere to the principles that the needs of our residents are paramount and that they shall be treated with dignity at all times.
