My mum is in Hillcrest Nursing Home since March 2023, and I must say it is the best place she can be at this moment. We had tried various places first because Hillcrest had not a vacant room. In one place we experience discrimination issue because my mum does not speak English. I believe it may cause a problem and it is not easy but the staff in Hillcrest Nursing Home see no problem. Anne Gallagher (owner and the manager, all nurses, and all caregivers do their utmost to meet my mum’s needs. Sometimes they need to phone me for help with translating but mostly they manage themselves. Well done. Recently my mum had a hospital appointment and unfortunately, no me nor my wife could go with her to help with the language. Anne Gallagher sorted that for us organising one of the caregivers (a lovely lady) to go with my mum although that day was her day off. BIG THANK YOU for that to them both, it is much appreciated. Lovely atmosphere, great care. Never noticed even a wee indication that the staff is not happy with my mum's request. Of course, a Nursing Home is never a privet home, but the Hillcrest staff do a wonderful job to help every tenant feel at home.

If you are looking for a home from home with fabulous care, happy staff and residents, great food, a warm Donegal welcome every time you visit, look no further than Hillcrest. The best led nursing home I have ever been to. I cannot praise it highly enough for short or long-term care. It’s a very special place.

My mum has been a resident now at Hillcrest for several months and I can’t praise the team there enough for the care, support and kindness they show to her and each of the other residents each day. Nothing is a trouble and they have made a very difficult journey with a challenging disease much easier because of their professionalism and support. There is lots of activities each day for the residents to take part and in particular Mammy enjoys the music and dancing every Friday. We as her family are always made feel so welcome and if we do have any concerns, they are always appreciated and acted upon swiftly by the clinical and care teams. I feel very lucky that they were able to accommodate mammy and know she is in very safe hands. Thank you.

Having experienced many nursing homes and care homes both professionally and privately, I can safely say that Hillcrest tops the list. Before mentioning the standard of care given by staff, let me mention cleanliness of the facility, provision of equipment as well as Covid safety measures. What struck me was the fresh ambience which is not typical in a place dealing with elderly care. Anytime you visit the home, you are met with a friendly helpful member of staff who cannot do enough. My mother has been a resident for some time now and has settled in to her new home much better than anticipated. The qualified staff make mum feel safe and loved. This is without doubt due to the leadership and management of Anne Gallagher who is completely resident focussed and extremely warm and caring.

My mother-in-law was admitted in October after a long life of Independance, being in her 90's. It was crucial that Hillcrest would offer her a safe environment with a home-from-home ambience supported by professional, motivated, genuinely caring and vigilant staff. This is exactly what she has thanks in no small part to the excellent management of Anne Gallagher. Yesterday's Christmas lunch outing was a great example of the level of organisation and resident satisfaction that Hillcrest delivers. Thanks to all the staff.

Our mum is a resident at Hillcrest and I highly recommend this nursing HOME. Reasons are as follows; Professional medical care. Outstanding day to day support from the care staff. Great leadership from the top, Anne Gallagher is so caring and attentive to all her residents individual needs. The facility is spotless, and has all the necessary equipment. Our mum says, 'it is the next best place to home and the food is great, on one occasion, the dessert 'was to die for'. I feel very relieved knowing my mum is in such good hands.

I visited Hillcrest regularly over the past year and a half and it is a very welcoming place. The care and attention given to the residents is excellent. The staff are lovely and nothing is any bother to them. There is regular music and entertainment for the residents and family members are always welcome.

I have been a regular visitor to the nursing home now for 3 years and have to say the care given is exceptional and the staff are so friendly, warm and welcoming. The level of care is next to none.

I work there (entertainment) and those who know me well will tell you I've never stayed in a job or place I didn't like for more than a fortnight. I'm there now for 7 years. (6 part time and full time since April 2021) I can tell you hand on heart that the residents in this wonderful facility are treated by management and staff as if they're their own parents. High praise indeed. It's a very happy, fun and most of all, caring place to to go to every working day. Love it.. ❤️

The staff at Hillcrest are so caring and compassionate I could not fault them. The care and detail they gave to a family member is second to none. It's nice to be welcomed when visiting and made feel at home also.
